General Directions to AICUP Offices
Approaching from North or South on I-81:
- Exit I-81 at the Front Street Exit (Exit 66).
- Take Front Street South into downtown Harrisburg (approx. 4 miles). Along the way, you will pass the Governor's Mansion (at Maclay & Front Streets), Forester Street / M. Harvey Taylor Bridge, and State Street. Around State Street, try to be in left-hand lane.
- After passing Pine & Locust Streets, but just BEFORE Walnut Street, turn into the AICUP driveway on the left hand side, on the north side of the AICUP building. Do not go through the Walnut Street traffic light; the AICUP driveway and building are immediately BEFORE the light. (If you do pass through the Walnut Street light, simply take Market Street to 2nd Street and circle the several blocks - follow directions from 2nd Street below.)
Approaching from South or West on Rt. 15 or the PA Turnpike (I-76):
Exit the Turnpike at Exit 236 (Gettysburg Pike Interchange).
Take US-15 North, heading towards Harrisburg.
Take PA-581 East towards I-83 / Harrisburg / Hershey.
PA-581 East becomes I-83 North. Continue on I-83 North, crossing the Susquehanna River.
Take Exit 43 (first exit immediately on the East shore of the river), towards the State Capitol / 2nd Street.
Follow 2nd Street North, heading into downtown Harrisburg, staying in the center or left-hand lanes as you enter the downtown area.
Cross Market Street & Walnut Street & Locust Street; be in left-hand lane by Pine Street.
Turn left onto Pine Street & proceed towards river to Front Street.
Turn left onto Front Street & stay in left-hand lane.
Proceed south past Locust Street and along the next block.
IMMEDIATELY BEFORE WALNUT STREET, turn into the AICUP driveway on the left hand side, on the north side of the AICUP building. Do not go through the Walnut Street traffic light; the AICUP driveway and building are immediately BEFORE the light. (If you do pass through the Walnut Street light, simply take Market Street to 2nd Street and circle the several blocks.)
Approaching from East on the PA Turnpike (I-76):
- Exit the Turnpike at Exit 247 (Harrisburg East Interchange).
- Take US-283 North, heading towards I-83 / Harrisburg.
- Merge onto I-83 South.
- Take Exit 43 (last exit on the East shore of the river), towards the State Capitol / 2nd Street.
- Follow 2nd Street North, heading into downtown Harrisburg, staying in the center or left-hand lanes as you enter the downtown area.
- Cross Market Street & Walnut Street & Locust Street; be in left-hand lane by Pine Street.
- Turn left onto Pine Street & proceed towards river to Front Street.
- Turn left onto Front Street & stay in left-hand lane.
- Proceed south past Locust Street and along the next block.
- IMMEDIATELY BEFORE WALNUT STREET, turn into the AICUP driveway on the left hand side, on the north side of the AICUP building.
