Benefits Management Program

Principal Life™, the Coalition for College Cost Savings (CCCS) and AICUP have collaborated to develop a program that provides member colleges substantial groupdiscounts and underwriting concessions in five major insurance programs: Dental, Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, Vision and Life. The program highlights are:
• coverages may be purchased individually or in any combination
• coverages are available on a fully funded basis, self funded basis or through voluntary payroll deduction
• coverages are supported with multiple year rate guarantees as well as a performance guarantee
In addition to the insurance products, AICUP members have access to an online benefit administration system, called eBenefits Edge at a deeply discounted, fixed rate. This service is available to the college to manage ALL of its other employee benefi ts enrollments — even those from insurance providers other than The Principal™. When multiple providers are used, HR offices often follow a time consuming and paper-driven process to manage employee benefits (new hires, changes in status, renewals, open enrollments and departures). This program is designed to deal with this time consuming paper process by automating it with a tool from The Principal™.
Finally, Principal recognizes the value of existing broker relationships and has designed the program to offer open access; meaning Principal will honor existing broker relationships (or the relationship of any broker chosen).
